Duder and I had our Birthday yesterday.
I turned 56 years old. I still cringe when I say that out loud. I am old!! Duder is now 7 years old.
So, what did we do yesterday to celebrate our birthdays? We went out for a 15 mile run.
Two years ago, I woke up on my 54th birthday and decided to have a conversation with old age. Old age was not going to keep me down. I started the tradition of doing a 15 mile run. We did it that day, we did it last year and we did it yesterday.
My life transformation started when I hit 50 and starting going for a daily walk. In many ways, I am now 6 years old again. The first 50 years of my life was a trial period. I feel like I am just getting started!!
Here is a link to our run yesterday, with an audio excerpt from my book.
Do not let old age bring you down. No matter your age, it is never too late to make some changes. We all have many things we can contribute to this world. Never stop moving forward.
Random Running Thoughts
These pups just keep going and going. I am impressed. Even after 15 miles, they still want to chase that squirrel!!
